As I thank Him for the night
And I seek His guidance for the day
Knowing He will lead me right.
I live the day as it's given
my thoughts not on tomorrow
I trust in all God's promises
And tomorrow's problems never borrow.
I have the need to call on Him
Many times throughout the day
But He never fails to answer
And He lovingly leads the way.
Each day in life is different
But I don't face them on my own
Jesus said He would not leave me
For I am His,I'm not alone.
When evening light has faded
And I've tried to do my best
I thank God for the day
Knowing He will give me rest.
